Summer Intern

FARM, Inc.’s summer intern is immersed in the day-to-day operations of a fast-moving, crop insurance company. You will gain valuable, hands-on experience and crop insurance industry knowledge during our 8-12-week program. As a summer intern you will work side-by-side with our team on projects, with ample opportunity for challenges, learning and achievement. You will have the opportunity to become familiar with all aspects of our business:  operations, finance, marketing, sales, and client support. 

 

Upon finishing the internship, you may be considered for a full-time role with Farm, Inc.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the FARM, Inc. team and clients. 

  • Assignments may include:

    • Update and streamline spreadsheets/Client Relationship Management software and follow up with staff on outstanding tasks.  

    • Update claims spreadsheet and monitor claims status.

    • Attend farm and ranch location tours when possible.

    • Update social media and websites.

 

Duties:

  • Ensures the highest level of customer service to internal clients.

  • Demonstrated willingness to listen and learn. 

  • Converse with agricultural producers in analyzing and protecting financial risks.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Office Suite, or related software.

Education and Experience:

Current enrollment in an Agribusiness program at an accredited college or university as a junior or senior. 

High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Salary:

$15.00 per hour.
